  1. Just dropped my 2016 2500HD in for this issue. 42,863 miles. Should this be covered under warranty? If so which warranty?

    Reply
  2. So this Special Coverage Warranty applies to 2013-2015 Duramaxes but not 2016 even though it’s the same exact defect, same part and same procedure to repair. This is so absurd. I escalated it with Chevy Customer Assistance and it got shot down. Now I’m writing to Chevy in Detroit.

Bad bad bad. I bought two brand new Duramaxes, one in 2006 and the other in 2016. If I don’t get some concession, they will be my last GM vehicles.

  3. I just turned my car in to a Chevy dealership because of a DEF poor quality. They said it was a sensor issue and the warranty was only 50k miles. So I’m getting charged for just the sensor. Does the above letter apply to my issue?

  4. My 2015 duramax had this issue and parts where replaced. Now it’s having the same issue as before I’m a die hard Chevy person but I shouldn’t have to put my hard earned money into this issue seeing it was repaired and is happening again

  5. Question: 2014 ChevCruze Diesel DTC P20B9 & P21DD related issue to heater 1 in DEF reservoir. Does the whole DEF tank need replacement? Could just the Heater assembly/part# 23377881 be replaced? Dealership requesting part# 23467368.
Product: 22787284. I have never received any recall notices regarding this matter. I am @ 121333 miles. Now I have to pay for repair???

  6. I had the code on my 2014 Cruze diesel p21dd in June when I brought it to the dealer for the recall. Also had them replace the timing belt being the car was over 100000 miles. Why wasn’t the day heater replaced if they knew about this since Dec. Of 2016. Now I have 123000 miles on the car and don’t qualify.

  7. On this warranty issues are they supposed to replace the reservoir tank. It reads that they did on my ticket but the tank has not been changed out on special policy 29 400
